Okay so I wrote in to INTERVENTION! I am keeping my finger crossed I know it's a long shot but, hey...it could happen right?!?!
Anyway here is what I wrote...
My sister Nicole is suffering from a serious drug and alcohol problem. She is a mother of two young boys, who are no longer in her care. Her children were taken by thier father and have since been relocated to Mexico. We have been unable to see them since they have left the country. She has lost everything. She is at her very worst. Our mother as well as our grandmother both passed away from cirrhosis of the liver, due to their own alcoholism. I fear that if my sister does not get the help she needs she will soon follow. I do not know what to do. My resources are limited, and I feel that this may very well be my last avenue. I love my sister with all my heart and there are so many other people who love her and want to see her get the help she needs as well. She has two boys who need to grow up with a mom. I don't want them to feel how I feel. I don't want them to wonder why their mother didn't love them enough to get off drugs and be a part of their lives. I don't really know what else to write. If you need any more information or have any questions I will gladly answer them. I will be praying that she will be considered to participate. Thank you.
Anyways...I'm feeling a little sick tonight so that's it...

From one September 26 birthday baby to another, just wanted to wish you happiness today!
Cheers! ~MacKenzie
I've noticed that you haven't wrote a little over a month now. I hope that everything is okay. I will also help you pray for your sister to recover. I know where your coming from hun, about a year ago our power got cut off in July of 2005 and we have two kids together. He wasn't working at the time and seem like he didn't care, he was doing drugs too. But what had finally woke him up is during Christmas time, when the kids didn't receive any presents from santa.
It also woke me up too. In January 2006 I enrolled in school to get my GED, which I received the day after my birthday. Then in summer I enrolled to get my degree in computer programming, this fall will be my second year at college. I made a promise to myself that I would never depend on someone else to provide for my kids and they will never do without again!
I stayed with him and now things are great.
You may or may not want advice but I'm going to tell you what I went through. Don't confront her, saying that she has a problem and such, because it could have the oppisite affect then what you intend it to be. Call the hospital and see if they can tell you about where to take her to rehab at. BUT, give her the choice to make a decision on whether she wants to go or not. Then again if she's harming herself someone who is old enough can step up and make her go. I hope that this has helped you and others in some way because a happy ending is right around the corner for you and your family. I'm living proof that not all happy endings are just in fairy tales.
Bright Blessings,
Lissa
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!
I know exactly what you are going through - I also have a sister who is and has been doing drugs - Do what you can to help but guard your heart also. You can help but in the long run - it has to be her decision to clean up her act. I know how hard that can be and I have posted some of it on my blog.
For now - this is your day and I just wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday and wishes for wonderful dreams to come true and that God will give you your hearts desire. God bless - LfL
Still and tho'....bad stuff sucks what can I say!
This comment was a bit longer than I wanted it to be. But your blog posts touched me deeply along with many other fellow humans as you can see by the reaction. Like I said, keep on writing about it,..your life, the good, the bad and the indifferent.
Namaste,
